| | | June Already!! Can you believe that June is upon us already? It won't be long until the longest day.....How depressing is that. Despite forecasts of a long hot summer the weather is still very changeable. Although we haven't had much in the way of rain the temperatures are very up and down. The last few weeks of school now until the summer holidays after which it will be all change for us with my daughter starting at Middle School. It is very hard to believe that she has now been at Primary school for nearly 5 years...
Jaipur Jewels is now well into it's 5th year of trading and has gone through several transitions along the way. Despite not having booked any fairs or outdoor events this year I am very much still "open for business". If you are unable to visit the cabinet at Thorpeness and are local then please do not hesitate to contact me to view items in person. If you are further afield then please have a look at the on-line catalogue and ask any or as many questions as you like before purchasing. I am able to send you extra photographs of items that you would like a closer look at via e-mail.
The cabinet at Thorpeness Emporium is doing well and the shop has been very busy. Situated opposite the Meare in Thorpeness you will find the Emporium which is full of cabinets and tables with a massive collection of old and new. A definite must for a shopaholic or someone looking for that special something! As many people know Thorpeness and Aldeburgh are very popular for day trippers and holiday makers alike and there are plenty of nice walks in the area. With the Coffee Shop/Bistro in Thorpeness now open for business and re-named "The Beach House". Having somewhere local to showcase is excellent and Thorpeness is proving ideal as I can combine re-stocking with walking the dog!
I have a lovely selection of murano and lampwork style beads with a silver core. These beads are interchangeable with the current trend in Pandora, Troll, Chamilia and Baigi bracelets and will of course fit on a thick chain or leather cord. Seen as a modern charm bracelet you can intermix the glass ones with a whole host of gold, silver and gemstone set beads that are widely available. Either add to your existing bracelet and necklace or start a new one.
Jaipur Jewels is still offering 25% discount off all items listed on the site so this means you are getting excellent value for money. We have something that appeals to all ages and in a range of lovely colours to suit all complexions and colourings.
Remember Jaipur Jewels jewellery offers lovely quality items at affordable prices - unfortunately some of the photos don't do them justice. All items are individually packaged making them ideal as a gift. Cheap and easy to post so an excellent choice if you have to send a present overseas. Even better the 25% on-line sales discount still applies! Ideal if you are working and have trouble getting out to the shops. If you are buying an item as a present then put a note in the info section and I will make sure you get a little organza bag with your order to make it special.
Payment through PayPal via credit or debit card is totally secure. If you prefer to send a cheque via post then that is fine too but your item won't reach you as quickly as by paying on-line. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail me helen.barker@jaipurjewels.co.uk

| Introduction to Jaipur Jewels UK Jaipur is one of the most colourful cities in India and is famous for its culture, forts and palaces. Popularly known as the "Pink City" because of the pink-coloured sandstone buildings in the old city - Jaipur is rich in history and culture. The past comes alive in magnificent forts and palaces, blushed pink, where once lived the Maharajas.
Jaipur is the second largest gem and hand-crafted jewellery centre in India and it is estimated that around 280,000 of the population depend on the gem and jewellery industry.
Having been lucky enough to travel extensively throughout Asia and the Orient as a teenager, I have always had a fascination for the rainbow coloured jewels, quality craftsmanship and unique settings of hand-crafted Indian silver jewellery. It is with this interest in mind that I am delighted to be able to import some of this hand-crafted Indian silver and gemstone jewellery for you too, to experience. You too can now enjoy a piece of Indias history by owning precious Indian silver jewellery which has been hand-crafted using centuries old techniques. Choose from a range of classical, contemporary and traditional designs.
There is something for all occasions - everyday wear, an evening out or perhaps a gift for a special occasion.

| About Jaipur Jewels UK Jaipur Jewels UK is a small business run by myself, Helen Barker, with support from my husband Stephen and immediate family (mainly in the babysitting department when I am out at the weekend!).
I have always had a fascination for jewellery that dates back to my teenage years when I was lucky enough to travel the Far East with my parents. I have been looking for a business that I can run from home as I have a young daughter who is now at school full-time.
I have been lucky enough to team up with a manufacturer in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India and started Jaipur Jewels UK importing my first consignment from them in December 2004. The general public response was excellent and was closely followed by a bigger second order which contained a new selection of earrings and pendants. Since then several more have followed! I have also added a range of pashmina type scarves which are only available from shows and events - too many variations and colours to list on the website!
You can purchase items directly from the Jaipur Jewels UK website through the totally secure payment system, all items listed are in stock (unless marked otherwise) and will be sent to you within a few days.
I hope that you find the Jaipur Jewels UK website interesting and informative - if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. | |
